Patricia Urquiola is one of the most influential designers of our time. A native of Spain, Urquiola studied with Alvaro Siza and Achille Castiglioni and until 1996 was head of product development at De Padova. After founding her own studio in 2001, she worked with renowned furniture manufacturers such as B&B Italia, Kartell, Driade, Kvadrat, and Moroso. In 2015 she was made Art Director of the Italian brand Cassina. One of her strengths is the confident ease with which she treats textures, patterns, motifs, and materials, using them to compose everyday objects and interior designs that radiate warmth and joy while at the same time offering something new and surprising.
