Pascal Mory – The Colours of Community / TALK (EN)What is the significance of colour in architecture? For Le Corbusier, arguably the most important figure in modern architecture, this was a lifelong preoccupation, especially in connection with his Unité d’Habitation. This groundbreaking concept for collective living was implemented in multiple cities. In this talk, Pascal Mory, architect and contributor to a reproduction of the Unité d’Habitation, for the Musée des Monuments in Paris, addresses Le Corbusier’s ideas for communal dwelling and the determinative, communitybuilding role of colour, which many architects have continued to employ to this day.
