Internationally acclaimed London-based artist and designer, Helen Kirkum will be presenting her journey, process and approaches to recycling, upcycling and reuse in design based on the notion of circularity. Most famous for weaving together second-hand materials, Helen Kirkum manages to produce unique handmade sneakers that reflect the wearer’s personal history. She has become a pioneer of the hacked and deconstructed aesthetic within the sneaker industry and sustainable footwear movement.
